Privacy Policy
Develop Log (显影, “the App”) is provided by SYNC ART LIMITED (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the App handles, why, who receives it, and what you can do about it. See also our Terms of Service.
Summary
- Decoding, grading and exporting your videos happen on your device. Your video files are never uploaded.
- The App has no accounts, shows no ads, does not track you across apps, and includes no third-party analytics or advertising tools.
- Only when you use AI Grading does the App send the current frame, your grading settings and your messages to our server and our AI providers.
- Payments are handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account information.
1. Data that stays on your device
Imported videos, projects, thumbnails, grading settings, styles you save, AI Grading conversations and diagnostic logs are stored in the App’s own storage on your device only. Deleting a project deletes its video and conversations; deleting the App removes all of its data.
Videos are imported through the system photo picker, so the App can only read the videos you choose. When you save a video or Live Photo, the App asks for “Add Photos” permission, which is used only to write to your library.
2. Data sent when you use AI Grading
When you send a message in AI Grading, the App sends:
- the current frame as a JPEG image cropped to your current framing (up to 1568 pixels on the long side), and, when the AI asks for it, the original frame or a zoomed-in region;
- all grading settings and image statistics (such as histograms and color readings);
- technical information about the clip: camera model, lens, aperture, shutter, ISO, white balance, codec, resolution, frame rate and duration. It does not include where or when the clip was shot;
- the text you type, the reference images, PDFs and text files you attach, and the earlier messages in the conversation.
When you open an empty conversation, the App also sends the current frame (768 pixels on the long side) and a summary of your settings to generate suggested requests.
This data passes through our server to our service provider OpenRouter, which routes requests to the model. Anthropic’s Claude models generate the replies and the suggested requests. All of these servers are in the United States.
- Our server does not store frames, messages or attachments. It only records the time of each request, the model used, usage, cost and subscription tier, to calculate allowances and troubleshoot problems, and keeps these records for 90 days.
- OpenRouter does not store request or response content by default; it keeps request metadata.
- Under its commercial terms, Anthropic keeps this data for up to 30 days for safety and abuse review and does not use it to train models.
AI Grading is optional. If you don’t use it, the App sends none of this data.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
Subscriptions (Develop Log Pro and Max) and AI Top-Ups are purchased through Apple, which handles payment. To confirm that your subscription is active and to calculate your AI allowance, the App sends Apple-signed transaction information (product, expiration date, transaction ID, storefront and similar) to our server along with AI requests. Our server records, by subscription ID (Apple’s original transaction ID), your AI usage in the current allowance period (deleted when the period ends), your top-up balance and the IDs of top-up purchases already credited. It also keeps daily totals of requests, costs and the number of users to understand how the service is used; these totals do not contain subscription IDs, and the one-way hashes of subscription IDs used to count each day’s users are kept only until the end of that day. These records do not contain your name, Apple Account or contact details.
4. Content downloads and access logs
The App downloads official styles and the sample video from our server; these requests contain no personal information. The front end of our server keeps access logs (time, IP address, request path and result) for security and troubleshooting. Access logs are rotated and deleted regularly and are not used to identify you.
5. What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t use your data for advertising or track you across apps and websites.
- We don’t use your videos, frames or conversations to train AI models.
6. Legal basis and international transfers
We process this data to provide features you request (AI Grading and subscription benefits) and to keep the service secure. Our server and AI providers are located in the United States; when you use AI Grading, the related data is transferred to the United States for processing.
7. Your rights
You can delete projects and conversations in the App at any time, or delete the App. To access or delete the usage records on our server linked to your subscription, email us with the subscription ID shown on the App’s subscription page. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We will respond within the time required by law.
8. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age set by the law where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
All communication between the App and our server is encrypted with HTTPS. We keep only the minimum data needed to provide the service on our server.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the effective date above when we do. If a change significantly affects your rights, we will let you know in the App.
